More than “Traditional” Train-the-Trainer

Are you a workplace expert who hasn’t been successful in getting your points across? We will look at the effectiveness of the "Telling" technique versus other teaching techniques that can be utilized in your work setting. There are ten rules for training new employees and “veteran” employees who are learning a new skill. Learn how to plan what to teach and in what order. Various sample “lesson plan” methods and check lists are included. Discover the most effective techniques for explaining information to the learner and the best use of questions in your lesson.

Optional and strongly recommended: Practice of the teaching techniques learned, including the development of lesson plans with a realistic, work-related skill. Time required: an additional 10 minutes per participant when done individually; approximately an hour when done in groups of three (Teacher, Learner, and Observer), with feedback processing provided.
