Management/Supervisory Version
Define and explain in practical terms the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission definitions. What are the costs of sexual and other harassment to the organization and to the individual? When you go to court, how the jury and judge may look at the evidence. Using a check list of questions, determine if your behavior is “unwanted.” Is false reporting very likely? We will cover a variety of types of illegal harassment and look at specific steps to discourage harassment in the workplace. Practice with sample situations may be included.

Exploring Differences in the Workplace
We are really a salad bowl, not a melting pot. What diversifies a group? What are our perceptions and how do they affect the way we behave? Participants will understand what diversity means in practical applications on the job. Using a Commonality exercise, discover that there is really a lot more we have in common with each other than differences. People may appear to be "difficult" because they are different. We will discuss how to better utilize the differences...and the benefits of workforce diversity.
